The Government have announced £135m worth of funding for T Level providers across the country.
The funding, which takes the total investment in the T Level Capital Fund to a quarter of a billion pounds, is intended so that providers are able to upgrade buildings and classrooms to be able to provide the highest quality of education possible.
The funds can also be used to purchase specialist equipment for the courses to ensure that students are using industry standard equipment, making the qualifications even more valuable to both employers and potential employees.
The T Level courses have been created in conjunction with industry to ensure that employment is a realistic expectation after completing the course.
Education Secretary Gavin Williamson said:
“The successful launch of T Levels earlier this year represents the start of a transformation in our technical education system – giving young people the vital skills they need to get ahead and giving employers the talented workforce they need to thrive as we build back better from the pandemic.
“To deliver world class qualifications providers need to have world class facilities and cutting-edge equipment, this funding will help to make sure students have the skills and knowledge to succeed when they finish their T Levels.”
