Funding and Procurement – What CPO business models and funding is available and how to apply

Part of a series, in partnership with Liberty Charge this webinar looks at the funding and procurement options for councils to assist with their on-street EV installation requirements.

The Government will provide £450m of funding to local authorities for the rollout of new electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. It’s part of a £1.6 billion strategy to deliver a network of 300,000 electric vehicles (EV) chargers by 2030, representing a tenfold increase in the current number of publicly available points. £500 million will be invested to bring public charge points to communities across the UK.

The £450 million Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) fund, which will fund projects such as EV hubs and on-street charging solutions.

A pilot scheme for the LEVI fund, launched in March 2022 enabled local authorities to bid for a share of £10 million in funding. There are a multitude of grant funding options as well as 100% privately funded solutions.

The purpose of this discussion was to share ideas and solutions to aid the funding and procurement of your EV charge point infrastructure, and enable the public sector to ask the expert panel any particular questions they had.

Ep 51. Diversity, equality and representation with Stuart Love, Chief Executive of Westminster City Council

It is the role of local government leaders to make the decisions that will best deliver for the communities that they represent. That much is obvious.

How can they do this, however, if they are not accurately representative of those very communities?

Great strides have been made in ensuring that everyone, regardless of their ethnicity, race, gender, or social class is represented in some way within local government. Chief Executive of Westminster City Council Stuart Love joins host Dan Benn to talk about why this work is important, the different work that is being done in Westminster, and how his background influences his stance on equality and diversity.
