Part of a series, in partnership with Liberty Charge this webinar looks at the funding and procurement options for councils to assist with their on-street EV installation requirements.
The Government will provide £450m of funding to local authorities for the rollout of new electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. It’s part of a £1.6 billion strategy to deliver a network of 300,000 electric vehicles (EV) chargers by 2030, representing a tenfold increase in the current number of publicly available points. £500 million will be invested to bring public charge points to communities across the UK.
The £450 million Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) fund, which will fund projects such as EV hubs and on-street charging solutions.
A pilot scheme for the LEVI fund, launched in March 2022 enabled local authorities to bid for a share of £10 million in funding. There are a multitude of grant funding options as well as 100% privately funded solutions.
The purpose of this discussion was to share ideas and solutions to aid the funding and procurement of your EV charge point infrastructure, and enable the public sector to ask the expert panel any particular questions they had.
