London Councils has unveiled its 2026–2030 Pan-London Grants Programme, committing £25 million to voluntary organisations that support Londoners facing homelessness and domestic or sexual abuse.
Building on the success of the current 2022–2026 programme, this new initiative ensures all 32 London boroughs and the City of London continue funding frontline services that deliver life-changing support.
The programme addresses high-priority social needs requiring coordinated, London-wide action. Between April 2022 and March 2025, the existing scheme helped 9,400 residents sustain suitable accommodation and enabled 7,100 people at risk of homelessness to keep their homes. In the same period, nearly 3,000 Londoners affected by domestic and sexual abuse accessed essential help, with services supporting 8,100 survivors to rebuild their lives.
A key component is the Ending Homelessness Accelerator Programme, led by London Councils and the GLA, which strengthens collaboration and uses evidence-based interventions to prevent homelessness among families, single adults, and those leaving institutions such as prisons and hospitals.
Funded entirely by borough contributions and overseen by the London Councils Grants Committee, the programme guarantees transparency, accountability, and value for money. Despite financial pressures, boroughs have renewed their commitment to pooling resources, ensuring vulnerable Londoners receive vital support when they need it most.
Cllr Peray Ahmet, Chair of the London Councils Grant Committee, commented:
“We’re incredibly proud to launch this new phase of the pan-London Grants Programme, which will see £25 million invested in frontline voluntary organisations supporting some of our most vulnerable residents.
“I’ve seen first-hand the transformative impact the funding has had in our communities – focussing on homelessness and tackling domestic abuse. These results show what’s possible when London’s boroughs work together and take decisive, collective action to address the capital’s most urgent challenges.”

London Councils remains dedicated to transforming lives through strong partnerships with the voluntary sector and continued collaboration between local authorities.
