The last two years changed our lives as we knew it, with lockdown resulting in home working and Teams meetings, drastically changing the way we work.
Although people are now returning to the office, a strong company culture is something that workers are demanding in greater ways than ever before, with the ‘great resignation’ being testament to this.
Companies House realises the need for a positive culture in order to inspire their staff and enable them to flourish and drive high performance.
In this episode of Public Sector Voices, we spoke to two representatives from Companies House about the culture of the organisation.
They were:
• Angela Lewis, Director of People Transformation.
• Michelle Wall, Director of Finance and Commercial & Executive Lead for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
Discussing the strong culture at the heart of Companies House, Ms Lewis said:
“Our strategic goal here is to make sure our culture enables our brilliant people to flourish and drives high performance.
“This programme of culture change that we’ve implemented has been going on now for probably three to four years.
“Way back then we looked at the culture we had in the organisation and we focussed on what we wanted to focus on, keeping what we cherish and in particular that was around the sense of community that we had within our organisation, the absolute focus on our customers and that real drive to do our absolute best.”
