Maximising digital potential in your organisation

We’re living in a digital age. The global cloud computing industry has evolved exponentially with new cloud models and services continually being developed, adopted and deployed. Organisations across all industries, including the public sector, have quickly found themselves with a duty to keep pace and investigate cloud options.

But, what does that really mean? Simply put, it means that cloud integration and adoption should be a key focal point for organisations. There should be a desire to thoroughly investigate available cloud options and develop a clear strategy moving into the future.

Cloud can easily seem like a vast, insurmountable challenge without clear direction to travel, but with a more defined understanding of what it truly means and a forward strategy in place there is genuine power and flexibility available to be harnessed by organisations who adopt.

Cost effectiveness, ever-increasing security and the ability to offer service users and staff a more agile approach make cloud an appealing prospect in this new digital world we inhabit.

But don’t just take our word for it! Here at Public Sector Executive we have teamed up with partners at cloud specialists Vysiion, Cloud Gateway and techUK to survey our audience, discover some truly enlightening things about the public sector’s opinions and understandings of cloud and reflected on the findings with some expert advice.

As Vysiion’s Scott Paton explains: “[Our] survey shows that there is still a high degree of uncertainty regarding defining a cloud strategy.”

Well, let’s tackle some of that uncertainty.

With Scott’s expert analysis of the data we uncovered, and Cloud Gateway’s Justin Day breaking down what cloud really is – including the illusive definition of cloud which has so often escaped us all – and the benefits it can bring, we have produced a whitepaper potentially invaluable to public sector organisations still finding their feet with cloud.

We are very much in a digital-focused landscape now. It has opened many new doors and opportunities to organisations across the public sector, and so finding the right solution is imperative for continued successful operation.

So, who better to learn from and grasp the nuances and intrinsic details of cloud ahead of defining a future strategy than the experts who successfully deliver the services each and every day?
