National Outsourcing Association offers services to help public sector outsourcing
The National Outsourcing Association (NOA) is launching a campaign to help improve public sector outsourcing.
The campaign begins with a free Public Sector Day conference on 25 April, where attendees will be given free access to the NOA’s Outsourcing Life Cycle Model and its index for analysing outsourcing maturity.
The organisation is also holding special interest groups and offering corporate accreditation to assess public sector organisations’ approach to outsourcing. The BBC recently became the first public sector organisation to achieve full NOA accreditation.
Kerry Hallard, CEO of the NOA, said: “We’re fed up with all of the negative media coverage public sector outsourcing has been receiving recently. As the industry association promoting best practice in outsourcing, it’s always very disappointing to see examples of outsourcing failing in such a manner, especially knowing the benefits outsourcing can deliver when properly implemented and overseen.
“The NOA is here to help rid the public sector of such failures – we’re doing everything we can to support our public sector and ensure it gets the utmost from its outsourcing.”
Local government is becoming increasingly reliant on outsourcing, with spending increasing year-on-year.
