Public sector and civil service club announces first female association chair in 45 years

Boundless, the membership club for civil service and public sector workers, has appointed its first female association chair in 45 years.

Heather Glanville will lead Boundless as association chair after spending 20 years as a member and with more than 10 years in public service within the probation service, the association said she is ideally placed to take it into the next chapter.

She first became involved in the club’s social committee before moving on to join the club council where she became deputy leader in 2012 and leader in 2014.

Glanville commented: “I’m excited to be taking the club forward as the first woman in this position in nearly half a century! It’s all about people, and, much like the public sector itself, Boundless has a real heart and that’s why I’m so passionate about our organisation.”

“In a world where there are more and more demands made upon us, we need to carefully choose how we spend our free time and the organisations in which we put our trust.

“My last 20 years as a Boundless member have shown me that time with our club is time well spent, and now, in my new post as association chair, I’m eager to share my passion with as many of our members as possible.”

Boundless started as a civil service monitoring association (CSMA), a motoring association offering benefits, discounts, fun and fellowship to its members.
