Institute for Sustainability launches retrofit guidance

New guidance has been published to help public sector organisations to unlock the potential of domestic retrofit and increase the capacity of the supply chain in the construction sector.

The Institute for Sustainability has published an independent analysis of the Technology Strategy Board’s (TSB) £17m ‘Retrofit for the Future’ programme.

The analysis covers eight projects consisting of ten houses base don social and economic diversity from the 25 projects in London.

The reports highlight best practice for built environment businesses, as well as social housing providers and local authorities. They address issues about how domestic retrofit can help meet UK carbon targets and add value to the houses and improve comfort for homeowners.

The Institute for Sustainability has also published guidance for businesses to diversify their supply chain by engaging with SMEs for the construction sector.
