Cleaner, greener, safer media: Increased ROI, decreased carbon

Evolution is crucial in any business and Public Sector Executive is no different. Long before Covid-19 even became a thought in the back of our minds, the team at PSE were looking at innovative ways to deliver its content to our audience in a more dynamic and responsive manner.

We’re conscious to take the time to both protect the safety and wellbeing of our readers and our planet and through our new engaging digital platform we can continue to provide the high quality content our audience is used to while significantly reducing the carbon generated from the production and distribution of each copy. In moving digital, we’ve eradicated huge volumes of plastic and paper usage as well as notably reducing harmful emissions.

On the face of it, our digital edition will have that familiarity of the PSE brand with striking front covers, impeccably designed editorial features and the ability to turn the page with the click of a mouse or swipe of a screen. Yet, venture further and you’ll experience an immersive experience like no other as the pages of our magazine invite interactivity and respond specifically to you; our reader.

As Director Roy Rowlands explained: “It’s been a monumental effort from the whole team who have shown an unrelenting passion to get the job done without compromising on our mission to increase client’s ROI, improve the reader experience and reduce our environmental impact to almost zero.

“A digital magazine also has no risk of transferring a living virus; a benefit we hadn’t even considered until the recent pandemic.”

Within our magazine, readers can actively engage with those contributing to every edition, share content with colleagues, contacts and suppliers in just a single click across email and social media and become a wider part of the PSE network.

Accessibility is a core message to us here at PSE too. Content is now delivered responsively regardless of the device and screen size you use, doing away with ever having to squint at a page of tiny print, while integrated text-to-speech helps bring articles to life so you can listen to the latest industry analysis even through life’s busiest moments.

This new digital edition represents a hugely exciting step forward for the team here at PSE and we look forward to being joined on this new chapter of our journey by you; our audience.

Click here to dive into the new magazine and keep an eye out throughout for interactive elements to take full advantage of our new immersive offering.

25/10/2017Take a moment to celebrate

Devolution, restructuring and widespread service reform: from a journalist’s perspective, it’s never been a more exciting time to report on the public sector. That’s why I could not be more thrilled to be taking over the reins at PSE at this key juncture. There could not be a feature that more perfectly encapsulates this feeling of imminent change than the article James Palmer, mayor of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, has penned for us on p28. In it, he highlights... read more >
