The short sighted view
Another warning against austerity and welfare cuts has come today, with the publication of the BMA’s new report.
Cutting health intervention projects which are tackling the causes of poverty and deprivation is simply short sighted, and perhaps this recent rush of evidence highlighting the consequences of such an approach could serve to change ministers’ minds.
The wrong move here will ensure the UK is left with services that fail to provide adequate care for our most vulnerable children.
