Looking to improve your local authority digital literacy?
The Local Government Association (LGA) is hosting a free event on 2 February 2015, which will help participants access a set of digital tools allowing them to easily analyse, re-use, link and compare local authority data.
Open to councillors and officers from English local authorities and fire and rescue services, the ‘LG Inform Plus in London & the South East region’ event takes place at the LGA’s office in Westminster.
The event, which includes informal hands-on sessions, demonstrations and the chance for participants to try out the resource and learn to design, construct and share tailored reports, takes place from 11am until 3.30pm.
For those interested in attending, the LGA has asked participants to bring their own laptops. They have also been advised: “Attendees will gain most if they come prepared to try a hands-on approach and practise their skills as the day unfolds.”
