The future of the Gay Marriage Bill will come down to Labour today, as up to 150 Tories prepare to oppose it by stretching the definition of equality to ludicrous lengths.
It is evidence of further cracks in the Conservative Party, which is increasingly divided over a number of policy issues. Downing Street has warned that amendments could delay its introduction by over a year and raise the cost by billions.
Its one of the most controversial pieces of legislation this Government has introduced – will it make it through the House of Commons today?
